John Capodice (born December 25, 1941 [1][2]) is a veteran stage/film and voice actor who appeared on The Wayans Bros. as "The Detective" in the Season 1 episode titled "Pulp Marion".

Films/TV/Voice work[]
John began his film and television career in the late seventies and has hundreds of acting roles under his belt and his first role was in the ABC-TV soap opera Ryan's Hope. He went on to appear in such shows as CBS-TV's The Equalizer and Murphy Brown, ABC-TV's Moonlighting, and NYPD Blue, NBC's Law and Order and The West Wing. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Seinfeld and a host of others. John has just as many film credits under his belt, most notable as Sgt. Aguado in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, where he appeared with film co-stars Jim Carrey and Sean Young.
Amongst his many film appearnces are 1987's Wall Street (with Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas), 1996's Independence Day (with Will Smith), Naked Gun 33 1/3 (1994, with Leslie Nielsen, Priscilla Presley, Anna Nicole Smith, O.J. Simpson and George Kennedy), Jacob's Ladder (with Tim Robbins), See No Evil, Hear No Evil (where he appeared with film co-stars Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder), 1996's Speed, with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. He also lent his voice for the part of Sidney Pen on the 2K Games crime/action video game Mafia II in 2010.
Theatre work[]
Capodice, who began his acting career in the theatre, appeared in mainly Off-Broadway productions; he had two stretches where he appeared as a prison guard in the play Getting Out at the Marymount Manhattan Theatre in October/November 1978, which ran for 22 performances, and also at the Lucille Lortel Theatre from May 1979 to December 1980, which won 2 1979 Outer Critics Circle Awards. [3] Capodice did appear in one Broadway production, Requiem For a Heavyweight, where he appeared opposite Hollywood star actors John Lithgow, George Segal, and John C. McGinley, later of ABC-TV series Scrubs fame. [4]
