Mr. Stone is the owner/landlord of the Manhattan apartment building where Shawn and Marlon reside in the Season 1 episode of The Wayans Bros. titled "It's Shawn! It's Marlon! It's Superboys!". The part of Mr. Stone is played by veteran stage/TV actor Sherman Hemsley, who is perhaps, best known to TV viewers as the loudmouthed dry cleaner George Jefferson on two classic CBS-TV series All In The Family, and then its long-running spinoff series, The Jeffersons, as well as the irascible, mischeivous Deacon Ernest Frye on NBC-TV's Amen opposite Clifton Davis and Anna-Maria Horsford, who plays Dee Bazter on The Wayans Bros..

In "It's, Shawn! It's Marlon! It's Superboys!", when Shawn and Marlon go to visit and talk to Stone about the poor condition of the building, voicing the complaints of the fellow tenats, Stone, in trying to satisfy the city code requirements, and possibly to pass the buck and not have to hear the tenants complain, manipulates Shawn into becoming the new building supervisor, with Marlon as his assistant! When Shawn fails miserably at the job, it seemingly plays right into Stone's hands as he, in using Shawn as a scapegoat, quickly yells at him for not doing a good job! The boys soon switch places, as Stone tries to hire Marlon as the new super, with Shawn as the assistant! When that fails too, and when no one else wants the uneviable job, Stone is forced to act as the super for the building himself!
